Services

Four services, all on the one calendar

Each has its own page, written the same way: what to look for, what happens at the visit, and what moves the cost.

  • The October furnace visit

Burner, heat exchanger, flue and safety switches, and a carbon monoxide test of every alarm.

    The furnace visit
  • The April cooling visit

Coil, drain line, refrigerant levels and electrical parts, before the first hot week.

    The cooling visit
  • Humidifier and filters

A new pad, a clear drain and the right filter for the blower you have.

    Humidifier and filters
  • Repairs and replacement

Quoted in writing before the work, with the plan's labor discount. A new system, only when the old one's numbers say so.

What a plan pays for, and what is quoted separately

Questions about the work

Do you work on brands other than one?

We service gas furnaces and central air conditioners of most makes. The first visit tells us what the parts situation is for yours.

Do you install new systems?

Yes. Replacement is quoted in writing after a load calculation of the house, with the permit on the quote. Plan members get the labor discount on repairs, not on equipment.

Do you clean ducts?

We do not sell duct cleaning as a health fix. The EPA has found little evidence that it improves health. If a duct has a real problem, such as a disconnected run, we fix that.
